SEGAF and Helsingør Golf Club have the great pleasure to welcome you to participate in the Danish Senior Open Championship 2022 by Steen Tinning. We look forward to welcoming you, at this marvelous 18-hole international championship course located in Elsinore, 40 km north of Copenhagen.
The Club was founded in 1927 on what was then the military training of army officers school at Kronborg.
Today the club has not only 18 excellent golf holes, of which no two are alike, but also a par 3 course with 9 "real" golf holes a driving range with 6 target greens surrounded by bunkers and a short game area which is one of the best in the Denmark.
Elsinore golf course counted also among the 10 best parkland courses in Denmark, which is not surprising when visiting club.
The course has hosted the European Senior Tour in 2006, Ladies Europeen Tour in 2007 and Amateur Championship for Women national team 2015.

Steen Tinning is the protector of SEGAF, and we very much appreciate being allowed to connect his name to this Championship. Over the years Steen has been a tremendous inspiration for the Senior Amateur players in Denmark and SEGAF acknowledge Steen’s generous provision of advice and guidance to the Danish European Senior Teams.

Steen Tinning has always been a very dedicated golfer, and among other things he fought his way back to the European Senior Tour, after he at the end of 2003 had to withdraw his membership of The European Tour due to serious low-back disorders. However, thanks to a very dedicated back- and Ironman training, he recovered and successfully accomplished 4 Ironman competitions and furthermore, again being 100% fit for golf tournaments, achieved 2 victories in 2013, a win and a 2nd place in 2014 and another win in 2015 on the European Senior Tour.
